It's Time for thinking up Gorgeous!

It is time to start up the thinking machine and decide on your color schemes for the holidays!  

Do you know what your colors are for this year!  The trends or "what's trending" seem to be picking a color scheme and placing it throughout your room or home.  Or, have many themes in different rooms.

For instance ~ 

Kitchen ~ maybe a black and white theme, or silver and grays.  Pair up 2 colors or different shades of one color.

Living Room ~ go with the colors of your furniture or your pillows and blankets.

 Create a Formal Tree for the Living Room and a Casual tree or Family Tree in the Family Room.

Bedroom ~ The kids need a decorated tree!  Follow the colors of their walls, or their favorite colors.   Purples, pinks, greens, blues and orange, etc.

Bathroom ~ every Bathroom needs a little extra ambiance and light.  Just a little tabletopper, perfect to light up in the corner for the guests to enjoy.

Porch ~ how about the Back Porch or the Front Vestibule?  Add a pop of color with a fun color scheme to welcome in the guests upon arrival.

And, don't forget about the Front Hall.  Tabletop version or full size.  Fun pop of colors here too will round off the colors from the living room and dining room.

 So there you go... start up the engines and on these rainy days, look around and see where you will put the "trees"....:)

Sweeping out the Old, Welcoming in the New

Happy New Year to Everyone! 

We are fresh off of 2012 and have hopefully swept all the old cobwebs out of our corners.  We are ready and willing for a great 2013!

This year we are welcoming our Zim's Heirloom Nutcrackers as one of our lines.  We were also asked by a reputable Vendor in China to carry their Nutcrackers as one of our lines.  The Whitehurst Company is pleased and honored to be chosen for this too.  Our line of Zim's Elves Themselves are growing by leaps and bounds.  Currently, there are over 40 Elves available, with more coming each year!.  In the mix, we have The Cellar Elves and Halloween Elves too.  Our line of Oberfrankische German Glass continues to evolve and grow.  Many new items here as well. 

We are very Thankful to all our customers, friends and fans!  We are working hard at improving our service to you at every level.  Please let us know if you have any suggestions or concerns as we move into 2013.

Social Media is Everywhere!

Our newest form of Social Media.....

First I started this Blog thing... Decorating Everyday... and although I find it hard sometimes to post on a regular basis with life going on at the same time. Turns out it is so much fun to put together a story and images. So, I love this when I am in my creative mood and chatty.

Then, I put my company, The Whitehurst Company, LLC on Twitter under @glassornaments.  This is easy because I have 140 characters to say something and then it is posted.  Done. 

Next, I bit the bullet and joined Facebook.  We now are on Facebook at www.facebook.com/whitehurstcompany.

The last few days, I have been glued to my laptop.  Producing our latest Social Media outlet, our Pinterest account.  This is so great and melts all my favorite images into one spot, under one username and password.  So, you can also follow us on www.pinterest.com/thewhitehurstco.
